I’ve known since I was about thirteen or fourteen that I was meant to help others. Even then, I could feel the emotional connection that exists between people and horses — long before I ever had the words to explain it. Horses have always been more than a tool for work or entertainment. They see us, they sense us, and they respond to the truth of what’s inside us in a way that few humans can.

Years ago, I had a dream about my grandpa. In it, he told me, “The horses are a gift — share them.” That simple message became my purpose and the heartbeat behind DreamCatchers.

I created DreamCatchers as a space for healing, growth, and self-discovery — a place where people can connect with horses, nature, and themselves in meaningful ways. The name itself reflects what happens here: helping others catch their dreams and move toward them with confidence and clarity.

Here’s a look at what we do:

Hug a Horse

Sometimes, healing begins with something as simple as being still.

Hug a Horse offers an opportunity to spend quiet time with horses — without the deeper emotional processing of Equine Gestalt Coaching. This experience is where DreamCatchers first began: giving people who might not otherwise have access to horses a way to connect in a safe, calm, and affordable setting.

There’s no riding involved, just time to breathe, connect, and soak in the peaceful presence of these incredible animals. The emotional benefits are real, even without words.

Equine Gestalt Coaching

For those ready to explore deeper emotional work, Equine Gestalt Coaching offers a powerful path forward.

In these sessions, horses become active partners in the process — mirroring emotions, offering feedback, and helping people gain insight into what’s been holding them back. It’s an experiential form of coaching that focuses on awareness, release, and healing in the present moment.

Sessions usually last 60 to 90 minutes and can stand alone or work alongside traditional talk therapy. I’m not a therapist and don’t diagnose or treat; instead, I provide a safe, compassionate space for clients to explore, heal, and rediscover their own inner truth — guided by the wisdom of the horse.

Reiki

Energy plays a huge role in how we feel and how we function. When that energy is out of balance, it can show up as stress, fatigue, or emotional heaviness.

Reiki is a gentle, hands-on energy practice that helps regulate and restore balance to the body, mind, and spirit. It supports relaxation, emotional regulation, and a sense of overall well-being.

Reiki can be experienced on its own or in combination with coaching or time with the horses — offering a beautiful complement to other forms of personal growth and healing.

Educational Activities

I believe learning about horses should also be learning from them.

Through educational activities for teens and adults, we explore the history of horses and their partnership with humans — how they’ve shaped our past and continue to teach us today. These experiences are interactive and fun, offering opportunities for discovery and connection that go beyond the surface.

They’re perfect for schools, youth programs, or community groups wanting to experience the beauty of the human–horse relationship in a hands-on way.

Group Workshops at Rock Creek ReTreet

At Rock Creek ReTreet, I partner with Jamie Peer, the steward of the Land and a Life Mastery Coach, to offer group workshops that blend reflection, connection, and growth — all in a peaceful, natural setting.

These gatherings are designed to help participants slow down, breathe, and reconnect with themselves and others. Each workshop offers something unique: opportunities to release what no longer serves you, set new intentions, or simply find your footing again with the support of horses, community, and nature.

Whether you join a specific event or come with curiosity about what’s next for you, each experience is created with care, intention, and heart.

A Place to Reconnect

At its core, DreamCatchers is about connection — to yourself, to others, and to the natural world around you. It’s about recognizing the gifts that horses bring into our lives and honoring the way they help us heal, grow, and move toward our dreams.

If you’ve ever felt drawn to horses, there may be something waiting for you here.

💜 I invite you to come experience it for yourself. Whether through a gentle Hug a Horse session, an empowering Equine Gestalt Coaching experience, or one of our group workshops, you’ll find a welcoming space where you can simply be — seen, supported, and understood.
