The DreamCatchers StoryMy Story
Meet Jodi Freeman

Horses have been my safe haven for as long as I can remember. As a child, I found solace in their presence, knowing that whatever I shared with them would never be used against me. Unlike the people in my life—family members, classmates, and even supposed friends who bullied and belittled me—my horses offered a quiet understanding and an unwavering sense of peace. With them, I wasn’t judged or ridiculed; I was simply accepted. That deep connection carried me through the most difficult times, even as I found myself trapped in one abusive relationship after another. The impact of those experiences extended beyond me, affecting my children in ways no parent ever wants to witness.
I saw firsthand how my daughters, who endured their own trauma, experienced a shift in their anxiety and depression when they were around horses. The most profound moment came when my eldest daughter found the confidence to leave an abusive relationship and move out of state—long before we fully understood the immense healing power of the horse-human bond. That realization changed everything for me. I knew I had to share this path of healing with others. DreamCatchers was born from that vision, and my journey ultimately led me to the Equine Gestalt Coaching Method® (EGCM), where I earned my certification in 2024. Now, I partner with my horses at Rock Creek Retreet Center to help others find clarity, healing, and the courage to reclaim their lives.
I am a Gestaltist
Gestalt is the quest for wholeness
The EGCMethod is:
- A unique, experiential approach to healing that happens in partnership with horses, and no horse experience needed.
- Together, we gently explore past experiences, emotions, or patterns that may be holding you back.
- The horse offers honest, in-the-moment feedback that helps you connect more deeply to your own truth.
- This work isn’t about fixing you! it’s about finding the wisdom that’s already within you.
- Sessions are powerful, grounded, and heart-led, supporting real emotional clarity and lasting transformation.
You are in the right place if …
- You’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected and are ready for something different.
- You want a safe, supportive space to explore your emotions and experiences—without judgment.
- You’re a teen or adult navigating big transitions, anxiety, grief, or self-doubt.
- You’re curious about how connecting with horses can help you heal and grow.
- You’re ready to rediscover your inner strength and move forward with clarity and purpose.
Why Choose Me as Your Coach
When you’re choosing a coach, it’s not about finding someone to “fix” you—it’s about finding someone who helps you see the strength, courage, and wisdom you already carry.
That’s the heart of my work. I believe you are already whole. My role is to walk alongside you, creating a safe and compassionate space for you to hear your own truth and take the next step forward.
The horses I partner with bring something rare and powerful to this process. They mirror what’s inside you with honesty and gentleness, often revealing what words can’t reach. In their presence, the noise quiets, the masks drop, and clarity comes naturally.
If you have questions, need a financial assistance form, or would like your group to be invoiced, you’re always welcome to email me at jodi@dreamcatchersstrong.org.
You deserve a coaching experience that feels both safe and transformative. I’d be honored to be that coach for you.

Meet the Horses
Our Healing Herd

Skeeter
Skeeter, a Quarter Horse gelding, has an incredible gift for sensing emotions. As an intuitive “truth detector,” he gently guides clients toward self-awareness, helping them stay present and uncover their inner strength. His calming presence and keen intuition make every session a transformative experience.

Buttercup
Buttercup will be joining the coaching family in 2025! This Quarter Horse mare has been part of the DreamCatchers family since she was a weanling, and we’ve had the joy of watching her grow and mature. As she steps into her role, we’re excited to discover her unique coaching strengths and the connections she will create.

Seeker
Seeker is mostly retired, embracing a slower pace in the later years of her life. This Quarter Horse mare spent much of her time as a high-energy games horse, racing and collecting prizes. Now, she enjoys a quieter role, helping teens learn the essentials of horse care and deepening their connection with these incredible animals.

Freebird
Freebird, a beautiful Paint mare, is Jodi’s personal horse. She often observes coaching sessions from a distance, choosing when and how to engage. Having faced her own challenges, she sets her boundaries with care. If she invites you in for scratches, please respect her space, especially around her head and ears.
